Launched in 2023, as a part of the Climate Governance Initiative (CGI), Chapter Zero Uzbekistan aims to mainstream consideration of climate risk into business and investment decision-making to facilitate efficient allocation of capital and to enable a smooth transition to a low-carbon economy.
The core mission of the Chapter is to promote the implementation of the World Economic Forum’s Principles for Effective Climate Governance in line with CGI Charter, while equipping non-executive directors with skills and knowledge to make climate change a boardroom priority.
The Climate Governance Initiative (CGI) is developed in collaboration with the World Economic Forum.
The Global Climate Initiative, Uzbekistan was created on the basis of Chapter Zero Uzbekistan, formed with the support of WIUT in May 2023 and with 30 regional offices.
